SMITH, William “Bill” Elvis, Jr., age 93, of Miami Twp., passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. He was born in Cleaton, KY, on October 6, 1929. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lony Smith, parents, William E. Smith, Sr., and Lillian G. McGuyer, and sister, Francis Parlett. He is survived by his brother, Bob Smith, son, Ron (Debbie) Smith, two grandchildren, Rachel (Ben) Naguy, and Jessica (James) Smith, and two great grandchildren, Gabriel, and Elias Naguy. Bill served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Berlin, Germany during the Korean War. It was there that he met his wife, Lony. After returning to the U.S., he worked at Delco, before he started his own business, Household Appliance Services. He and Lony ran this business for approximately 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with his family. Bill was a loving husband, gentle father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. A graveside service with military honors for Bill will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 East Lytle Five Points Rd, Centerville, OH 45458. There will be a visitation with family and friends at The Gathering Church, 8911 Yankee St., Centerville OH 45458, on March 11, 2023, from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM.
