POE, William E., age 71 of Centerville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. Bill was born on March 8, 1945 in Sardis, Kentucky to the late Charles and Christine Ross Poe. Bill retired from Standard Register in his 50’s and started a new career driving a school bus for Centerville Schools which he really enjoyed and made many great friends. He was a long time member and officer at the Waynesville American Legion and a devoted member of the Lytle United Methodist Church. Bill was a very caring and compassionate man who spent his free time volunteering, caring for others in need and his neighbors. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Peggy Cooper Poe; daughter and son in law, Sheri and Jeff Glackin of Centerville, OH, sister, Phyllis Worthington of Centerville, OH, two brothers, Herschel Poe of Cincinnati, OH and Harry Poe of Xenia, OH, special friends Brandon, Natalie, Katelyn and Caleb Fischer, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Rossie Poe of Sardis, KY, and older sister, Bonnie Seibert of Englewood, OH.
