William James Hutchison

HUTCHISON, William J., age 92, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on January 14, 1927 in Dayton and reared in the McCook Field area of North Dayton to the late William C. and Essie P. (James) Hutchison. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary G. Hutchison; sister, Mary F. (Jesse N. Wilson); and brother, Charles E. He is survived by his sons, William G. (Sandra) and George J.; daughter, Lynne B. (Scott W.) Wolford; grandchildren, Garrett M. Hutchison and Katherine A. Wolford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bill was a graduate and president of Kiser High School, class of 1945. He served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers 1954-1955 and taught topographic computing at Ft. Belvoir, VA. In 1960 he and his brother-in-law, Frank C. Zonars, co-founded U.S. Design Service, Inc., retiring in 1992.
