Walter R. Davis, age 92 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Brighton Gardens. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 70 years, Emma “Jean” Davis, on September 15 of this year, and by his brother, Clifford Davis Jr. He is survived by two sons: Richard E. Davis of Dayton and Stephen D. Davis and wife Kelly A. Nugent of Centerville. Three grandchildren survive him: Anne Tressler and husband Jay, Aaron Davis, and Melissa Reynolds and husband Kenny, as do two great grandchildren; Seth Davis and Alec Reynolds. Walter was retired from the Kroger Company. Friends may call on the family at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 12:30-1:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
