Welker, Virginia L., age 74, of the Trinity Community of Beavercreek, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Welker, in 2006 and her son, Robert Welker, in 1997. Virginia is survived by her 3 children, Terry and wife, Sandy Welker, Jerry and wife, Dorothy Welker and Diane Spitzig, all of Dayton; a sister, Sharon Gentle, of Mountain Home, ID; grandchildren, Rodney (Cindy) Kelley, Melissa (Mike) Spirito, Scott Morris, Joshua (Elizabeth) Welker, Valerie (Rodger) Smith, Christopher Welker, Ben (Brenna) Welker, Chuck (Kisha) Welker, Keith, Sara and Emily Welker and 8 great grandchildren. Virginia attended the Church of Christ in Fairborn. She attended and graduated from Sinclair Community College in 1982 and was a medical records technician at Kettering Medical Center and Bethany Lutheran Village. Virginia enjoyed reading and crafts such as crocheting and rubber stamping along with watching the Cincinnati Reds. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Dayton National Cemetery with Rev. Bev Jenkins officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17,2011.
