Virginia VanGundy

VanGundy, Virginia, age 95, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018, at The Oaks of West Kettering. She was born on October 25, 1922, in Zimmerman, OH the daughter of Edward and Esther (Woolery) Rock, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles W. VanGundy, sisters, Ruth Wolf and Glenna Blake and a brother, Maurice Rock. Virginia is survived by her 3 children, Connie (Stan) Irwin, Gary (Donna) VanGundy, Jan (Jerry) Hofmann; her sister, Grace Brown. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Virginia was a 1940 Graduate of Beavercreek High School. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of The Oaks of West Kettering for the love and care given to Virginia. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
