Miamisburg. Virginia (Ginny) was born in New York City on May 5, 1920 to her parents, Henry
and Lillie. She married Donald Renner on February 1, 1964 and he preceded her in death in
2011. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Henry and wife, Dorothy Reckhard. She
is survived by her children, Thomas Arnold and Barbara Blake, her grandchildren, Jeffrey Blake,
Laura Blake, Aimee Hayes and Alyson Schreiber, and her great-grandchildren, Ayden, Dia, and
Memphis Blake and Liam Schreiber. She is also survived by step-children, Janet Rajadhyaksha,
Wendel Renner, Cheryl Lyons and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ginny was educated at Evander Childs High School and Hunter College in New York City. She
moved to Dayton in 1949 with her first husband, Tom Arnold. She retired from Monarch
Marking Systems (Pitney Bowes) as a tax analyst after thirty years of service. She was a
member of Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Ginny and Donald enjoyed many
overseas travels, ballroom, square, and round dancing, and played duplicate bridge for many
years.
Memorial service and internment will be held at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave. on
Friday, March 31, 11:00 a.m., followed by a brief reception at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far
Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429.
