Virginia R. Garrett

Virginia R. Garrett, age 87 of Dayton, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at The Hospice of Dayton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Fanny Bevins; husband, Jack Garrett; son, John Garrett; and brother, Freddie Bevins.

She is survived by her son, Edward (Gloria) Forrester; daughter, Melissa (Angel) Jimenez; daughter-in-law, Beth Garrett; grandchildren, Angie (Ben) Besserman, Amy Hogg (Stuart Bidinger), Nathan Garrett, Anthony Jimenez, Andrew Jimenez, Angel Jimenez Jr., Maria Macias, Russ (Barb) Hobbs, and Gary Hobbs; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Lou (Arnold) Thacker, Joan Carol (James) Ashcraft, Gloretta (Leslie) McGuire, Darlene (Dean) Lowe, Omeki (Keith) Becknell; brothers, Drexel (Mary) Bevins, Johnny (Nancy) Bevins; sister-in-law, Betty Bevins.

Virginia is a long time member of Eastmont United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Eastmont United Methodist Church, 5039 Woodbine Ave. Dayton 45432 with Pastor George Brewer officiating. Entombment in Woodland Mausoleum, Dayton. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BELMONT.
