Verlon Caudill (86), of Jacksboro TN and recently of Dayton OH, went to be with Our Lord on 22 February 2024. Verlon was born in Combs KY on 29 November 1937. He served 4 years in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic on the F-101 Voodoo before marrying his childhood sweetheart. He was a member of the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church in Dayton OH, and an honorary member of the Midway Baptist Church in LaFollete TN. He worked as a foreman at Chrysler and retired after 26 years. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Jacksboro TN so he could be closer to 'the good fishing holes'. Verlon was a very talented man who was known for "get' er done". He was a wood carver, quilter, and made his own fishing lures. He was met at the Pearly Gates by his Sweet Thing, Faye (Spencer). He was the baby of 5 children born to Joe and Ethel (Wilson) who preceded him in death. Little Precious was also preceded in death by all his siblings: AW (Pearl), Wanda Thompson (Buster), Zeda Mullins (Claster), and Jean Peters (Simon). He is survived by his favorite daughter, Jonna Lynn Burich (Larry); his granddaughter...aka his favorite fishing buddy, Veronica Faye Mestas (Max); his great-grandson, Wyatt Mestas; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. A visitation for Verlon will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio 45429, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial at Heritage Hills Cemetery.
