Thomas "Bucky" R. Taylor Jr. (TSGT USAF Ret.)

TAYLOR, Thomas R. Jr. (Tech Sergeant United States Air Force Ret.) “Bucky”, age 78 of Riverside, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice Taylor; parents, Thomas R. Sr. and Lena Mary Taylor; sons, Thomas M. Taylor, Brian J. Taylor; daughter, Teri A. Taylor - Dawkins; sisters, Janice West, Katherine Press and brother, Robert Taylor. He is survived by his son, Mark W. Taylor; sister, Cecelia “Pud” Taylor-Howard; brother, Randy Lee Taylor; grandchildren, Daniel Taylor, Bradley Dawkins, Tammy Taylor, April Taylor, and several nieces, nephews and friends at AA. T.R. retired, after 20 years of service with the 307th Bomb Wing Unit, as a Tech Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He served 3 consecutive tours; 12 months, 16 months and 18 months, receiving many honorary medals, including the Silver and Bronze Stars, as a Crew Chief Aircraft Maintenance Technician on a C-130 in Vietnam. He also retired from Civil Service after 18 years as a maintenance worker, who has always taken pride in his work, at WPAFB. He had a special kind of longing for Potter County, PA. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with Chaplain Hank Thomas, USAF officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 20.
