Hischak, Thomas M., age 89, of Riverside, OH passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. He was born on February 12, 1923 in Nanticoke, PA to Michael and Elizabeth (Marcinko) Hischak, who preceded him in death. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen (LoMaglio) Hischak, of Riverside, OH; his five children, Thomas S. and Cathy Hischak, of Cortland, NY, Ronald A. Hischak, of Cincinnati, OH, Christine H. and Stanley Lucas, of Bethesda, MD, Gregory J. Hischak, of South Yarmouth, MA, Angela N. and Jonathan Bleemer, of Oreland, PA; a sister, Helen Hryvniak, of Rochester, NY; 11 grandchildren, Mark, Karen, Althea, Sophia, Andrea and Aretha Hischak, Benjamin and Julia Shedlin, Ava Hischak, Meredith and Charlotte Bleemer. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and devoted friends. Thomas was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of The Rochester Institute of Technology and retired as a test engineer from General Motors. Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. from St. Helen Catholic Church with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Graveside services with interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Rochester, NY.
