I am deeply shocked and sadden to learn of the death of Dr. Yohannes. He was one of the best skilled and caring doctors I ever came in contact with. He diagnosed my prostate problem and performed the surgery that changed my life, and I will always be grateful for his compassion and skills. My deepest condolences to his entire family.

Occasionally I look up certain people that I had not heard about recently.  I was shocked to learn of Dr. Yohannes untimely passing.  My association with him was brief, but I was tremendously impressed with his demeanor and skill as a medical professional.  I cannot begin to imagine what his family is going through, and hope and pray they continue to find the strength to deal with this tragedy.

I could not believe when I heard the death of Teddy Yohanness. I knew Teddy when he was a child in Bishooftu. He was a lovely kid and loved by every one in the family. I have not had chance to meet Teddy since  his childhood years. We've all moved to different cities and continents. I hear occasionally, about the kids and Gashee Yohanness and Etayee Etenesh.  I knew that they've moved to the States but never had chance to meet. It is an awe full occasion to lose such an accomplished young man. May the grace of God be with you, Gashee Yohanness, Eteyee Etenesh and the rest of the family.

Dr. Yohannes was a wonderful doctor to everyone here in Greenville.  The office was in our back yard and each Thursday, when he came to Greenville, he always waved before going into the office.  He went to the tractor pulls at the Great Darke County Fair with my husband.  He was just a wonderful person!  His family is in our thoughts and prayers.

How very sad it was to learn of Dr. Yohannes' passing. What and AWESOME Dr and friend he was!! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I have said so many times that I have 2 sons and 50 children as I was the program director for urology training at Louisville. Theo and Paulos are my children. I am so sad to learn about Theo passing today from Dr. Rao. My heart felt condolence for the family. Words of Sophocles " Life is being, death is not being. No question was ever too trivial for him to explain/answer. I always felt safe in his care. Sometimes he spoke of his family and it was obvious how much you all meant to him. I was a patient of Dr. Yohannes and Dr. Kalvakota-2 fine gentlemen. I literally crawled into his office with severe kidney stone pain one day. He wrote me a prescription for Flowmax-$4.00 and told me I would pass it soon despite my dis-belief and that I would be fine. I passed it later that day saving me surgery and a big expense. He truly was a kind and caring human being.

We had the privilege of meeting Nate through our son, Brett. They were roommates at OSU. Nate left a positive lasting impression with our family. Not only was he polite, respectful, and fun to have around, he took the time to fold each sheet and blanket on his bed in a perfect square pile neatly on the end of his bed. We knew his parents set an example for this terrific young man. I planned to share this story with his mom & dad. I am so sorry for the premature death of Dr. Yohannes. He leaves a great legacy for his children. 
May you find comfort in knowing he has reached his eternal home and will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched and in whose lives his children impacted through him. Thank you, Mrs. Yohannes for the awesome job you and your husband did in raising such a special young man! I want to share my deepest condolences to Dr. Yohannes family and friends. I was not surprised to read that he was my brother in Christ all this time. He had such joy always. Because of him, I received treatment for interstitial cystitis much sooner than a lot of people who have IC do. My usual urologist was out, and that was the day God put Dr. Yohannes in my path. I will be forever grateful. I was so saddened today to hear he has gone. He was a great and compassionate physician. I have a feeling he gave back a better quality of life for so many hurting patients just as he has for me. He left a legacy in his family and friends, and also in his life's work.

I was so sad to hear of Dr. Yohannes's passing.  I was one of his patients for the past 4-5 years.  He was such an amazing Doctor.  When I was referred to him by my mother (a nurse who's co-worker referred her), I was beyond thrilled to have found him to help me with my kidney stone surgeries.  He always let me be a part of my own plan of care, was very knowledgable, I never had a complication from any surgeries, and he was always willing to listen to my concerns and stupid questions.  Best urologist ever!  I am positive that I am only one of many patients who thought the world of him.  He will be sadly missed.
