Grizinski, Thaddeus A., age 100, passed away early in the morning on July 19, 2018 at Lincoln Park Manor in Kettering, Ohio. He was a Navy Veteran and served on the destroyer USS Herbert J. Thomas during WWII. He often spoke of his experiences as a young man in the Navy. He worked for over 40 years at the Air Force Logistics Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a civilian. He traveled throughout the world for both his work and with his family. He donated many volunteer hours to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and to the Second Shelf. He fixed hundreds of watches and clocks as a hobby. He was a devoted husband and father to to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Susanna Grizinski; son, James T. Grizinski, and his devoted wife of over 67 years, Marian S. Grizinski. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Yolande Grizinski; grandchildren, Alexandra Grizinski, and Misty (Patrick) Collins; great grandchildren, Braelyn and Teaghan Collins; niece Lizbeth (Grizinski) Baynes and nephew Richard (Cathy) Grizinski. Also, Jana Arend, Sara Soper, Connie Lee, and Loretta Holton from the Saner side of his extended family. He has a host of friends and neighbors with special thanks to Kathy and Bob Uchtman and Gene Hartman who supported him throughout his stay at Lincoln Park. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lincoln Park Senior Independence and the Lincoln Park Manor. They made him feel at home. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429.
