Teresa Lynn (Meyer) Spatz, age 58 of Beavercreek, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Soin Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Ronald and Rosemarie Meyer, and her sons, Devin (Emily) and Brandon, all of Beavercreek, Ohio. Terri was the second of five children - Jeff Meyer (Tamara) of Santa Cruz, California; Lisa White (Dan) of Hilliard, Ohio; Scott Meyer of Santa Cruz, California; and Greg Meyer (Eileen) of Oak Park, Illinois. Terri was married to Bill Spatz for 22 years before he passed away in 2014. She is survived by the Spatz family along with many nieces and nephews on both the Meyer and the Spatz sides of her family.
Terri was a Beavercreek High School alumna, class of '83, and she graduated with honors from the University of Dayton, class of '87. Terri studied in Austria while she was a UD student. After graduation, she studied in New Rochelle, NY where she earned her credentials to become a Montessori teacher. Terri taught at Gloria Dei Montessori School in Dayton for several years before staying home to raise her sons.
Terri became an employee of Dayton Children’s Hospital several years later, which turned into a more than 20-year career. She spent many years as an administrator for the Dietary and EVS departments and went on to work as an employee educator where she recruited and on-boarded new employees. Terri was an advocate for employees, promoting workplace wellness and employee benefits. Terri will be greatly missed.
Friends may call at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM on Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St, Dayton, Ohio 45410 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 3,2024 by Fr. Andrew Linn. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In-lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Miracle Clubhouse (please specify Miracle Clubhouse as Area for Gift) or Pink Ribbon Good in Terri’s name.
