Mrs Susan E. Novak Krueckeberg

KRUECKEBERG, Susan E., devoted wife, giving mother, doting grandmother, kind friend, lifelong educator and loving soul, age 70, Centerville, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center. Susan was born on April 5, 1945 in Ashtabula, Ohio to the late Thomas A. and Frieda A. Moodt Novak. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Norman; son, Scott and his wife Valerie and their children Sean and Lauren; daughter, Stacie Stormer and her husband Ben and their children Mia and Liesl; and two sisters, Marilyn Langewisch and Nancy Novak. Susan received her Bachelor’s degree from Defiance College and her Master’s degree from the University of Dayton. She taught elementary school in Defiance City Schools, Rockford Local Schools, Northmont Schools, and retired from Centerville City Schools after 35 years of teaching. Susan was recognized for her dedication to learning by receiving the Centerville Education Foundation Excellence in Education Award for Weller Elementary School in 1998. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, Ohio 45458 and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Charlie A. Woodward and Jay Shailer officiating. Interment David's Cemetery.
