Susan Lynn Cook

COOK, Susan Lynn, age 61 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at The Hospice of Dayton. Susan was born on April 10, 1961 in Dayton to the late Ellwood E. and Margery June (Wilburn) Cook. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Harold and Velma (Waldroff) Wilburn. She is survived by her aunt, Betty (Bob) Green of Kettering; cousins, Kimberly Green of California, Jill (Jeff) Warner of Kettering, and Steven Salmons of Dayton; and numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles. Susan was a graduate of Fairmont East High School and the Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She taught hundreds of students music in the Dayton area through Hauer Music, McCutcheon Music, Singer Music and privately. Susan also was a member of the Kettering Civic Band and the Centerville Community Band. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Donald Payne officiating.
