Fox, Sue Ann (Susy), of Beavercreek, OH left her family and friends on December 11, 2014 to join her brother, Kenny, who made the journey to be with our God on May 27, 2003. After a brief illness at Kettering Medical Center, she gave up the ability to survive this latest illness. Susy was born in Wyandot County Hospital on December 19, 1957 to Don and Mary Lou (Hoffert) Fox, whom she lived with her entire life. Also surviving are brothers, David and William. Her sisters are Amy (Bob) Schalle and Jennifer Fox. She loved, treasured and was supportive of her nephews and nieces, Zachary, Andrew, Libby, Kristen, Emily, Sarah, Naomi and Caitlyn. That love extended to her great-niece, Kaiya and great-nephew, Jaeden. Susy had many friends, especially, Ellen, Robbie, Karen, Leanne and Crystal. She graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1976 and then started classes at Wright State University, where she graduated, Majoring in Spanish and History in June 1981. She graduated as a Summa Cum Laude University Honors Scholar and Modern Language Honor Scholar. Susy continued her education and received her Master's Degree in Humanities, plus 30 additional hours on December 5, 1987. From September of 1983 to October of 2002, she was a Spanish teacher at Beavercreek High School, when in early 2002 she was chosen as an Outstanding Teacher of the Year. On April 26, 2008, she was named Outstanding Alumna of the Modern Language Department at W.S.U. Susy was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Beavercreek since 1973. She was the chairperson of the Worship Committee for many years and still active until her death. Many people are treasuring her cross-stitched ornaments she did each year for the church bazaar. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grangehall Road. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 350 N. Fairfield Road at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, followed by her burial at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore, OH. There she will rest in peace next to her brother, Kenny and near her grandparents and uncle and aunt, Glenn and Phyllis Amend. John Schlicher, Pastor at St. Andrew Church will be conducting the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church in memory of Sue Ann.
