Hatton, Stephen K. “Steve”, age 67, of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the Hospice of Dayton after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sheryl J. “Sherrie” Hatton in 2010, his father, Ralph Hatton and his father-in-law, Richard Mayer. Steve is survived by his mother, Louise Hatton; his son, Jeff (Heather) Hatton; his daughter, Julie (Phil) Myers; 3 grandchildren, Madelyn and Jillian Myers, Noel Cain; 2 sisters, Margaret (John) Renz and Mary (Mark) Harden; 2 brothers, Tim (Kathy) Hatton and Tom (Teresa) Hatton; his mother-in-law, Betty Mayer; sisters-in-law, Linda (Gary) Allbright, Vicki (Perry) Kiser and Kris (Glen) Schwarzman; lifelong friends ,Gary Allbright, Craig (Wendy) Ankeney; friend, Joyce Hensler. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other special relatives and dear friends. Steve was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, Class of 1965 and Wilmington College, Class of 1970. He was a dedicated employee of D.P.& L. and Vectren for 45 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road with Pastor Brad Lewis of the One Love Church officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
