BOSTIC, Stanley Ervin, Jr., age 76, died peacefully at home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Centerville, OH. He was born on January 4, 1941 in Charleston, WV to Stanley and Norma Lee Bostic. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, and received B.S. degrees in Math and Physics from West Virgina State University. In 1962, he married Sharon Elizabeth Suter and together they raised their four children. Stan enjoyed a successful executive career in the natural gas and coal business. He approached life to achieve excellence in everything that he did. He was a great husband, a terrific dad, and a role model to his children. He was a man of great character. He was thoughtful, kind, intelligent and loving. He won the award for World’s Greatest Dad every day from his kids. His siblings affectionately referred to him as "Sonny Boy". Stan learned to play the guitar and harmonica by ear. His love of music was inherited from his mother, who was a piano teacher. He enjoyed working in his garden and led an active lifestyle. At one point he owned 3 horses, and taught his children the value of hard work. Stan also became SCUBA certified when he was in his sixties, and made multiple trips to the Florida Keys to enjoy his new-found hobby. Stan is survived by his children and their spouses: Scott and Kim Bostic of Dayton, OH and their daughters Sarah and Abbie; Steve and Nancy Bostic of Houston, TX and their daughters Sophie and Ella; Rick Bostic and his son Maverick of Cocoa Beach, FL and granddaughter Preslie; and Melissa Stewart and her sons Jonathon, Chandler, and Cameron of Dayton, OH. He is also survived by his brother David Bostic and his daughters Tracie DeBord (Ronnie) and Brittney Sproles (Danny) of Charleston, WV; his sister Martha and Paul Robinson and their son Mark of Orlando, FL; his brother Barry and Lesa Bostic and their daughter Callen of Hurricane, WV; Stan is predeceased by his wife Sharon; who is survived by her brother Tom and Patricia Suter and their children Michelle Poleyumptewa (Kevin) and Sean Suter (Amy), of Huntington Beach, CA; also her brother Jack and Linda Suter and their children Rebecca (Chris) Cotter of Atlanta, GA, Aimee Magnon, and Kent [Brook] of Lilburn, GA.
