Shirley A Hess

HESS, Shirley, A., age 75, of Kettering, Ohio, lost her battle to cancer on February 8, 2012 and is now walking pain free on the streets of gold with her Heavenly Father. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Bender and Helen Burner, brothers; John and Luther Burner, sons; Daniel and David Danzeisen, brother-in-law Kenneth Felkley, her husband of 33 years Edward A. Hess, and step-son Joseph Hess. Shirley is survived by her son Douglas Danzeisen, daughter Denise Danzeisen, sister Anna E. Felkley, step-sons; Andy(Cindi)Hess, Matt(Linda)Hess, step-daughters; Jennifer(Don)Oberbillig, Lynn(Sam)Reynolds, Amelia Hess, sister-in-law Alma Burner, twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church and had many close wonderful friends. She was employed at Reed Elsevier (parent company of Lexis Nexis) for 23 years and enjoyed working with numerous colleagues. She also played tennis with long-time friends and had a passion for hiking in Switzerland. Family to receive friends Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Far Hills Chapel. Funeral service to be held 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church 4865 Wilmington Pike with Pastor Mark Carlson officiating; internment Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
