Memorial Service was held 11:00AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel; with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America at www.vva.org. Another memorial service will be held in Sharon's home state of Texas, 2:00PM Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Cowboy Church of Erath County 4895 US Highway 67 in Stephenville.
Sharon was born April 29, 1947 in Kerrville, Texas to Elyson B. and Opal Taylor, Jr. Sharon grew up in Stephenville, TX and graduated from Stephenville High School and Abilene Business College. As a proud Army wife, she was blessed to travel extensively and live in many exciting places both in the states and abroad. She was a devoted wife and mother who started her career as a dental assistant and later became an Occupational Therapy Assistant which enabled her to follow her passion and work with special needs children in the school systems in Virginia, El Paso, California and Ohio. She then settled in Beavercreek OH where she lived for several years with her beloved late husband Robert. She was a talented artist and enjoyed learning different venues to express her art, including playing the piano and the mountain dulcimer.
Sharon is survived by her Mother, Opal Taylor of Stephenville, TX; son JW Watson and wife Annie of Belton, TX; granddaughters Niketa and Elizabeth Watson of Lewisville, TX; grandson Nicolas Watson of Wichita Falls, TX; sisters Debbie Henslee and husband Gene of Granbury,TX and Linda Brown.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Watson; Father Elyson Bell Taylor, Jr and brother Elyson Bell Taylor III.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
