SHEPHERD, Ruth Ellen Hackenberger, age 88 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Cypress Point Health Campus. Ruth was born on September 7, 1929 in Findlay, Ohio to the late James and Thelma Ernst Hackenberger and was the oldest of 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Ron) Himebaugh; son, Steve (Sherry) Shepherd; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Jim (Lynn) Hackenberger, Sarah Tarzinski, Martha Lou (Ned) Mefford, Barbara Fogle, and Jeanie Eisenhut.
