Robert George Van Oss Sr.

VAN OSS, Robert G., Sr., age 86 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Oak Creek Terrace. Robert was born on October 11, 1930 in Dayton to the late Linus and Alvena (Wissman) Van Oss. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Rita (Berner) Van Oss; brothers, Jerome Van Oss and Linus Van Oss, Jr.; and sisters, Leona May Van Oss and Deloris Long. He is survived by his daughter, Regina (David) Condy; sons, Robert (Margie Osborn) Van Oss, Jr., Martin (Mary) Van Oss, and Paul (Apryl) Van Oss; 10 grandchildren; sister, Alvena; brother, Ronald; and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a graduate of Northridge High School in 1949 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Monsanto Mound Facility after 33 years. Robert enjoyed Painting, Drawing, Whittling, working in his garden and helping family members with home improvement Projects.
