TRANGENSTEIN, Robert Charles, age 80, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. Bob was born February 15, 1936 in Dayton to Hugo and Margaret Trangenstein. He is preceded in death by his sister Lucille Wenning; his brothers Walter Trangenstein, Richard Trangenstein and Raymond Trangenstein. Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia of 60 years; his daughter Deborah Bauer; sons Michael (Debbie) Trangenstein, John Trangenstein and Jeff (Susan) Trangenstein; grandchildren Michael Bauer, Steven (Katie) Bauer, Kira Trangenstein, Briana Trangenstein, Mikaila Trangenstein, Seth Trangenstein, Kaitlin Trangenstein, Carly Trangenstein and Allison Trangenstein; great-grandchildren Peighton Madden and Scarlett Bauer; sister Dorothy Kolb and brother Norbert Trangenstein. Bob was a graduate of Patterson Co-op where he participated in a co-op work program with Frigidaire. He spent four years in the United States Air Force serving in the United States, Korea and Japan. He attended El Camino College in California returning to Dayton in 1963. He retired from the position of Senior Plant Layout Engineer from General Motors in Moraine. Bob enjoyed the company of his family, his wood working shop and numerous home remodeling projects for family members throughout his retirement. Visitation is Saturday, March 12th from 9:30-10:30am at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 South Smithville Road, Dayton with Mass of Christian burial immediately following at 10:30am with Fr. Satish Joseph presiding.
