GRAY, Sr., Robert L. "Bob" 1/12/1935 - 8/21/2017 Age 82, a lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017 at Dayton VA Hospice. He was a member of North Riverdale Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancie Le Gray Zanker. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, of 58 years, Melba Faye Wilson Gray, two sisters, Mary Jane (Tony) Boderone and Bernadine Ann Harris. Two sons, Robert Jr. (Julie Thomas) Gray and Timothy (Martha) Bolinger, daughter, Kim (Mike) Monday, 12 grandchildren, Madelyn (Rick) Mennine, Jordan Gray, Zachary Auman, Emma Gray, Robert Pahl, Caleb (Gabriell) Monday, Rachael Monday, April Bolinger, Heidi (Jacob) Carmichael, Holly (Jamie) Bolton, Amanda Bolinger, Ryan (Heather) Bolinger, and 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, all of whom loved Bob dearly. Bob was the "favorite uncle" for many and a beloved friend for all. Bob owned and operated a Barber Shop at the corner of Hillcrest and Catalpa and was once honored by the Dayton Daily News, as the Barber with the best shave in town. He also, worked at Globe Products, Inc. and after retirement, worked many years for Carrigan/Mains Funeral Home and Tobias Funeral Homes, Fairview U.M. Church and Bonnybrook Farms. He left his body to the Wright State University School of Medicine, Anatomical Gift Program. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the North Riverdale Lutheran Church with Pastor Monte Stevens officiating. The family will greet friends from 11 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Riverdale Lutheran Church, in Bob's memory, or to the Honor Flight of Dayton, 200 Canary Ct., Enon, OH 45323.
