Rita Marie Rozelle

Rita Marie (nee Mehlick) Rozelle born on April 15, 1941, in Springfield, Illinois, passed away on March 5, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Rita is preceded in death by her daughter Dawn Marie Rozelle, her brother Bob (Cindy) Mehlick, her parents Patrick and Agnes Mehlick, her beloved cousin Kathy Jarvis and her Godmother Agnes Mehlick. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, James, her daughter Lisa, and her sons Craig (Traci), Todd (Amanda) and Dean (Mary) as well as her brother Joe (Nora) Mehlick. Rita also leaves behind a legacy of love through her nine cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Alexander, Madison, Alex, Grayson, Carson, Callie, Carter, and Lucas, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rita was a dedicated member of Incarnation Parish in Centerville, Ohio for 46 years. She was known for her unwavering love and kindness towards not only her own family but also nieces, nephews, neighbors' children - anyone in need found care and friendship in her home. Rita's nurturing spirit earned her the title of a second mother or grandmother to many. She was a pillar of strength for her family, and she will be remembered for her grace and elegance. Her impact on the lives she touched was profound, and Rita's legacy of compassion and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. In addition to spending time with her family, Rita enjoyed dining out and traveling on summer vacations to be with friends and family. Her love for life and people was evident in everything she did. Rita Marie Rozelle will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared with all who knew her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace.
