Richard "Dick" Charles Tyson Jr.

Richard “Dick” Charles Tyson Jr., age 83, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023. Dick was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. He served his community through the Centerville Lion’s Club. He was a lifelong baseball fan, especially the Reds. Dick was preceded in death by a sister, Gretchen Cooper and by her husband U.L. He is survived by his wife, Karen. They were married 58 years. Also surviving are three daughters, Cheryl (Matthew) Knost, Colleen Tyson, and Carla Tyson; grandchildren, Alex Knost, Rebekah Knost, Seth Tyson and Sophia Barker; and by a brother, Howard Tyson. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 27th from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Dayton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's memory may be made to Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Dayton, Ohio 45419 US or to a charity of your choice.
