Tony was many things to many people. Many will remember Richard as the ‘Air Guitar King’ who could burst out randomly with a song at any time. He was a jack of all trades and had a smile that would light up a room. He loved all the women in his life especially his daughters. He will be remembered for his keen culinary skills when it came to breakfast, and was given the title of ‘Breakfast Master’ by those close to him. Tony and his family were also known as an 8up family, which was very special and important to him. His late father, Richard A. Thoma Sr. had even authored a community paper called the 8up Gazette.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Thoma, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Becky Davis; step mother, Brenda Thoma; five daughters; Christina Parrett (Wesley), Ashley Williams (Patrick), Faith Thoma, Ashley Ferguson (Kelcy) and Kayla Howard (Darian); ten grandchildren, Chase, Kimberly, Anthony, Avery, Rosella, Ryder, Klarissa, Emma, Ariana, Ka’Leah; three sisters, Missy Thoma (Jimmy), Stephanie Downing (Rob), Amanda Cecil (Jimmy); and eight nieces and nephews, Colleen, Peyton, Tori, Tyler, Lilly, Callie, Ella, and Py. He is also survived by numerous extended family and close friends.
