January 25, 1948 - April 18, 2021
After a courageous battle with cancer, Richard (Dick) is at peace. A long fight it was, but he met it head on with a positive attitude. Always willing to do all it took to continue as normally as possible. He was a true warrior. Always a strong influence for those he loved and new friends he met along his very adventurous life. A very proud father, doting grandfather, and the absolute best husband a wife could ask for. He was so blessed to have had the opportunities he had and was very grateful for his wonderful family. Dick was employed at NCR for over 35 years. His dedication and work ethic move him up in the organization to become a very successful and respected employee. He was a great leader to those working for him. Preceding him in death was his father Everett Lightner and his nephew Zackery Staggs. Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 11 1/2 years, Linda, sons Scott (Martha), Jeffrey (Rebecca) and grandchildren Lauren, Elliott, Erin, and Mackenzie. Mother Jean Lightner, sisters, Joyce Staggs, Barb Schuh (Tom Marcellino), and Karen Hartings (Steve). Also, numerous nieces and a nephew and many friends. His puppy, Cooper, will also miss him.
