Raymond A. Thoma, age 88 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Raymond Thoma III, and his parents, William and Ethel Thoma. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marion Thoma. Three children also survive him: Raymond Thoma Jr. (Sharon), Michael Thoma (Angela) and Darlene Brant. Six grandchildren survive him: Amanda Dietz (Kevin), Ryan Thoma (Megan), Josh Thoma (Emma), Justin Lawson, Robert Lawson, and Nikki Brant, as does a brother, William Thoma Jr. (Barb), and sister, Florence Geraci (Pete). Raymond was a US Army Veteran and worked for the City of Dayton as a heavy equipment mechanic. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd., on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11 AM. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the mass. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton in Raymond’s memory.
