Age 77 of Centerville, Ohio. He was born in Howell, Michigan, to Lloyd and Kay (Linn) Whittaker, and was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Baroth.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judith, and the proud father of daughter, Lisa (Brent) Douglas, Kettering, Ohio; and sons Thomas (Krystal) Whittaker (Anthem, AZ) and Michael (Tracy) Cobb (Dallas, TX); two grandchildren, Logan Cobb and Lauren Cobb; brother, James Whittaker (Grand Rapids, MI); sister, Carol Draper (Sheridan, MI); brother-in-law, David (Trish) Hutchinson (Waldorf, MD); and many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. An animal-lover, he doted on his dog, Dash, as well as those who are in Puppy Heaven: Abby, Whitney and Babe.
He is a 1961 graduate of the University of Michigan and has been a life-long, avid fan of his beloved alma mater and Wolverines (“Go Blue”). After many years as a successful manufacturing manager, Phil enjoyed his retirement years in the Dayton area.
