Sure enjoyed each year before family reunion when Uncle Perry would visit Grandmother while we were there. He would usually bring other family members with him, too. He was quiet and smiley, with a twinkle in his eye and teasing in a pleasant way. We will miss him. Love and prayers to all the family! --Grace Larson and family. Uncle Perry was very dear to me, I loved him very much. Each year I looked forward to seeing him at the reunion and many times I would get an extra visit because I'd still be at Grandmother's (Edith) house when he'd come by on his way out of town. He always had a smile and a hug for me. Miles and Polly had seven lovely children, it's sad to see them all gone now. I'm thankful for the years we had with that generation. I had the pleasure of being at Grandmother's just before she passed and witnessing Uncle Perry singing sweetly some hymns as well as other songs he'd memorized. Uncle Perry also left an impression on my children who greatly enjoyed getting to go to his pizza birthday party and hearing him sing. We are so sorry that we couldn't come to his memorial service, but he shall be remembered.

My Dear Sweet Cousins: thank you for being with our blessed Perry, comforting him and loving him as we all did - unconditionally, thoroughly and dearly. His infectious, persistent smile and positive attitude will live with us forever.  Sending All My Love, Lynne

My Uncle Perry was one of the BEST! He cared about people. When I was a kid he was kind and loving like all my Aunts and Uncles and I never gave it a lot of thought. We come from a fantastic family. When I got older and my Aunts and Uncles started to pass on I saw a different side of my fun loving Uncle Perry. Still fun loving to us but also, he took on taking care of our emotional needs. He would get Mom, Aunt Jo, Uncle Frennie and the four of them would play dice and eat pizza. He knew Mom needed to have that distraction after Dad passed. He took care of his baby sister. Just like he did when he got his first pay check and bought his two youngest sisters their first doll. After Mom passed he would call me just to make sure I was ok. He had me make a list of the phone numbers of his nieces and nephews so he could check up on them, make sure they were ok. He loved us all deep down. When he would hug you and his hearing aid would screech he would say "it does that when I hug a pretty girl" He made you feel pretty. Uncle Perry. I am going to miss you. I know you are happy, playing bones with Frennie, Jo, Mom and I know you taught them all to play. But more so you are with so many others you love and with your Lord and you are at Peace. I will see you all again one day, and get another hug. Love you. Rest in Peace. Perry, Patty, Nancy, Janice if you need me call me.

DEAR PERRY,  AS AN OLD FRIEND I DO SEND MY SINCERE PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS IN REGARDS TO YOUR DEAR FATHER.  MY DAD, CHET ROUSH KNEW HIM, I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS THROUGH US ARMY TIES, AND THEN WE WERE IN VAN BUREN TOGETHER IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.  WE HAD MANY CLASSES TOGETHER, I APPRECIATE YOUR FRIENDSHIP DURING THOSE YEARS IN SCHOOL IN KETTERING.  I DO HOPE TO ATTEND THE SERVICE FOR YOUR FATHER NEXT WEEK END.  Jeanie Roush Wolfe.

Perry was one of the nicest people I have ever cared for. He had wonderful children that love him dearly. I know he is up there enjoying himself and singing away. God bless of all of you.
