Paul Douglas McAvene

Paul Douglas McAvene, age 71, of Richmond, Indiana passed away May 24th, 2024. He graduated from Short High School and attended Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. He also attended Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion and Wright State University of Dayton. He was a member of the Lithuanian Club, Kettering Assembly of God, House of Freedom, NCR Baseball Team, and Kettering Amateur Baseball Commission. His career included 30 years as manager of the Micro-Graphics Division at NCR. After retirement he worked for Chem-Dry of Dayton for 8 years, and he owned Vibrant Dry for 12 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loraine French McAvene and Paul Edwin McAvene. Survived by his spouse Stephanie Sue McAvene and would have been married 49 years August 16th, 2024. Children Ashlie Eve and Patrick Painter, Emilie Elise and Joshua Brewer, and Cassie Elaine and David Jamison. Siblings Pam and Tom Davis, and brother Gary Wayne McAvene. Grandchildren Winnie Isla and Raylan Robert Painter. Brother- In-Law Bill Mikalauskas. Along with many nieces and nephews. A visitation for Paul will be held Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 2:30 to 4:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM. Rev. Donald Payne officiating.
