Paul Edward Ebright was born December 17th, 1941 in Dekalb, Illinois to parents Mae and Everett Ebright. Paul peacefully departed this life at the Brookdale Senior Living Community on February 14th, 2018 where he was surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. Upon his graduation from Belmont High School, Paul chose the career of refrigeration and HVAC repair. Paul started his career with Anchor Refrigeration. He progressed to Ebright’s Refrigeration. This was a successful venture with Paul’s father, brother and son, creating a trusted 3 generation business in Dayton. Five decades later, he would honorably retire from The Kroger Company as regional supervisor in the Dayton/Springfield/Washington Courthouse area. Paul was a life-long automotive aficionado. In the spare time he rarely had after supporting his family, you would find him restoring classic cars and trucks – especially Fords. Paul also enjoyed photography, CB radios, and maintained an impressive collection of model cars. Paul also donated his time and talent as Chairman of the Holiday At Home Car Show for many successful years. If you were to ask him, he achieved his greatest goal by creating a loving family that made his life a colorful journey. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his brother Kenneth (Linda), his sister Bonnie, his seven children: Scott (Lynne) Ebright, Teri (Todd) Carver, Jeffrey (Kerri) Ebright, Priscilla (Tommy) Ritchie, Rodney (Kathe) Ebright, Cameron (Danjela) Spencer, Darrin (JJ) Ebright; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grand children, and countless relatives & friends – including his loyal puppies, Lacy & Chloe. Paul Ebright was a man who always made an effort to help the people he loved. He was a man who never failed to try. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. There is no one he wouldn’t help. He will be greatly missed. The Viewing will be held at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek on Monday, February 19th from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at 10:30am to be immediately followed by interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Dayton.
