Patsy Ruth Collins

Patsy Ruth Collins (Carter), age 93, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday November 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Collins. Mother Frances (Arthur) Dean and Father James (Peggy) Carter; Sister, Louis DeMint; Brothers Don and Roger Dean and great grandson Miles Mengden. She is survived by her daughters Susan Jung and Barbara Lemire; sister Dorothy Ward and brother Jim Dean. She has four grandchildren; Melissa, Kevin, John, and Megan and six Great grandchildren; Miranda, Abigail, Zachary, Nathaniel, Hudson, and Nolan. She is loved by many more family and friends. Patsy was a lifelong resident of Kettering who spent her career as a secretary working for WHIO, Channel 16 and ultimately retiring from the University of Dayton Research Institute. She was a member of the Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Kettering. She loved spending time with family, friends and any stranger she met. She was also a volunteer at Kettering Medical Center, enjoyed reading, working puzzles, making crafts, gardening and doing counted cross stitch. Family and Friends may call from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Friday December 3, 2021 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
