Patricia Ann Hecker

Patricia Dieterle Hecker (Zakota), age 85, of Eaton (Formerly of Beavercreek) passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 31, 1938 to the late John J. Jr. and Juliana M. (Papp) Zakota.

She received her BA and MA in Education from the University of Dayton.

She was a lifelong educator who taught at St. Agnes Catholic School for five years, Ascension Catholic School for three years, and Immaculate Conception Catholic School for thirty seven years specializing in language arts.

She was preceded in death by her two spouses, Gerald "Jerry" Dieterle (2000) and Charles "Chuck" Hecker (2010).

She is survived by her two loving children, Victoria Davis (Dieterle) of Lewisburg, OH and G. Scot Dieterle (Holly) of Allen, Texas; one step son, Richard Hecker (Andrea); four beloved grandchildren, Tyler Dieterle (Teri Allen), Morgan Davis, Sam Dieterle and Marco Dieterle; as well as 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 nephews and 3 nieces, as well numerous extended family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice of Dayton or the ASPCA.
