Patricia Louise Corbett

Patricia Louise Corbett of Dayton , Ohio passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Patty was a loving wife of 68 years and an adoring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her six children: Joe Corbett ( Susan) of Fort Myers, FL, Pamela Corbett of Centerville, OH, Karen Eads (Allen) of Fort Myers, FL, Michael Corbett, ( Janae) of Waynesville, OH, Joanne Vogel(Mike) of Waynesville, OH and Jerry Corbett ( Cari) of Fort Myers, FL., thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, brother Tom Furrey and sister Susan Dodds of Huber Heights, Oh.

Patty was preceded in death by her adoring husband, James who passed away on April 17, 2024 and her parents Leonard & Mary Furrey.

Patty was all about family. She joyfully and selflessly dedicated her life to raising her six children and caring for her family. She was known for her gentle, loving, kind and sweet spirit that was grounded in her faith.

Jim & Patty were the epitome of marriage. Truly living their wedding vows, “…for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part."

She enjoyed the life adventures with Jim; growing up and raising her family in Dayton, Ohio, living on Marco Island, Florida and retiring to the their beautiful mountain home in Murphy, North Carolina where many fun and memorable family reunions were celebrated. On one of their many walks in the woods they found a large rock that they designated as their “prayer rock” where they would spend time praying and reflecting on all God’s blessings.

Mom's presence, love and spirit will be missed.

A private visitation will be held for the family only. Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Helen's Parish in Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton.

After the interment, all guests are welcome to join the family back at St. Helen's Parish for a meal.
