

Homer, Norma Jo “ Carmony” age 80 of Dayton went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born December 9, 1934 in Middlesboro, KY to the late Joe Carmony and Victoria S. Mills Carmony. She is also preceded by a son Jeff McDonald, son-in-law Woody Barlett and a step-son Doug Homer. She retired from Miami Valley Hospital as a Patient Account Representative after 32 years. She was a member of Bethel (Christian) Temple Assembly of God and a strong and dedicated Christian lady. She enjoyed cooking, oil painting, crocheting, reading and writing journals. She is survived by a daughter Donna G. Barlett of Dayton, OH, son Christopher A. Homer of Gallipolis, OH, Steve McDonald of Lima, OH, step-daughter Debbie Chapman of Glendale, AZ. Sister Marilyn Gay (OP) Harrison of Mobile, AL. Step-grandchildren Jamie and Nathan of Glendale, AZ. Also several cousins and good friends. Funeral Service 11 am Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Tobias Funeral Home (Far Hills Chapel) 5471 Far Hills Ave. Pastor Don Shurts, Rev. Wanda Werking and MSGR. William Myers officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave 45420 in Norma’s name.
