Nell Joyce Moore Brown

Brown, Nell J., age 83, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Nell was a Cosmetologist working out of her own home for over 15 years and then for 18 years provided Cosmetology services at Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare .

She was an avid UK basketball fan, hardly ever missed watching a game and she had a huge assortment of UK collectibles and memorabilia. Nell loved to watch and debate politics and loved to play cards. She will be remembered most for her love of her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always brought a smile to her face and she cherished each and every moment she had with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mallie and George Moore; sisters, Edith, Elsa, Gertrude and Zeola; brothers, Ishmael, Beckham and Delmas; and one great grandchild, Annabelle. She is survived by her partner and soul mate, Oakley Lowe; daughters, Deborah (Robert) Dietz and Robin(Michael) Hunter; sister, Deloris Shelton, grandchildren, Shawn, Missy and Andy Dietz; Keven and Kyle (Ariel) Quatman; Joshua Cochran; Travis Hunter and Samantha (Cody) Shope; great grandchildren, Corey Dietz, Boe Shope and Griffin King; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dayton.
