Neil Edward Jackson

Jackson, Neil E. Age 87, died suddenly Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wilma; daughter Sharon (Tim) Callahan; daughter Cynthia (Jack) Hamilton; son Jeffrey Neil Jackson; a sister, Elma June Wilson; sisters-in-law Kathleen Blankenship and Nancy Brown; a grandson Jack (Prissy) Hamilton and great-grandchildren Nolan, Reid, and Myra; foster granddaughter Kristin Keller and her children Savanah and Sophia; nieces Sandy, Vicky, Julia, Deborah, Karen, Kim, Valerie and Abby; and nephews David, Donald, Michael, Douglas, Keith and Robert and their families; and numerous other extended family members—and was much loved by all. Neil was a U.S. Navy veteran and longstanding member of Colorado Avenue Baptist Church. He retired from Frigidaire as Supervisor of Tax and Insurance. He prepared personal income tax returns for 46 years. He was an avid golfer and won 40 golf trophies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and piloting small planes. Services will be held at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Kettering OH 45429. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Colorado Avenue Baptist Church, 101 Heaton Avenue, Dayton 45410, in care of Rob Wackerman, Pastor.
