MOORE, Nancy, age 62, of Centerville, Ohio passed away on March 18,2013, at her home in Centerville, Ohio. Nancy was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 28, 1950, the daughter of the late Oliver P. and Myrtle Marie DeWitt Applegate, of Dayton. She was also preceded in death by sister’s, Alvena Wilkey, Marie Grooms, and brother Oliver Applegate . Nancy graduated from Northridge High School in 1968 and was married in Northridge in 1969. She was a prominent bowler for 25yrs, with many League championships and one WIBC State Singles Championship. She finished her work career as purchasing manager for Moore Quality Tooling Inc. of Centerville. Nancy had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for eight years, with steadily declining physical and mental health conditions. Her final 3 weeks were spent with family members and friends in the comfortable setting of her own family room in a hospital bed furnished by Hospice of Miami Valley. SURVIVORS include her husband of 43 yrs, Anderson E. Moore Jr, daughter Tonya M. Bell of Charleston South Carolina, sons, Thomas A. Moore of Liberty Twp, Ohio, and Dr Timothy T. Moore of Willoughby, Ohio. Eight Grandchildren, Corey A. Bell, Jessica M. Bell, Sarah N. Bell, Kimberly A. Bell, Ryan T. Bell, Katie Barksdale, Nicholas A. Moore, and Rocco A. Moore.
Additional surviving family members are three sisters, Judith Grooms, Margaret Brewer, Doris Harper, brother John Applegate, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be 10 am Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Chad A. Current officiating. Her final resting place will be at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery on North Dixie Drive, Dayton, Ohio, close to her parents and other family members.
