Nancy Ione Firsdon

Nancy (nee Bechtel) Firsdon, of Washington Township, Ohio passed away on October 21, 2016 after an extended illness, surrounded by her children. She peacefully went to heaven where she joined her husband, Byron of over 50 years, her parents, sister and her grandson, Brandon White. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Elizabeth Armstrong (Mitchell), James Firsdon (Lori), Barbara Baker, Jacqueline Williams (Gregory) and Shannon Holtgreive (Bernard), grandchildren Ashley Jimenez, Michelle, Erica, Scott, Alex and Leah Firsdon, Sean and Austin Baker, Samuel and Sarah Williams and Rachel, Gwyneth, Jack and William Holtgreive and three great grandchildren, Nataly, Isabella and Tobin. She is also survived by one brother, Ron Bechtel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy’s family was her pride and joy, supporting her husband in his careers and her five children in their numerous activities. She was truly the backbone of our family. Despite the busy schedule she had raising her family, Nancy was always a willing volunteer supporting TWIGS, Ambucs and the Girl Scouts. As her five children grew up, Nancy’s interests expanded into shopping, traveling, entertaining and golf. A highlight in her life was getting a hole in one. Nancy was a member of the Church of the Incarnation. Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, October 25th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Road, Dayton, Ohio 45429. Mass of Christian burial will be at the Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane Centerville, Ohio 45459 on Wednesday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m..
