On Sunday, February 28th, 2021, Nancy M. (Marburger) Brown-Messler, 80 years of age, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Sycamore Medical Center, Miamisburg Ohio. Eldest of three sisters, she was born on August 5th, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to parents Ralph and Nona Marburger. Nancy was married to David F. Brown of Lebanon, Ohio 1961-1968 and later was married to Robert Messler of Vandalia, Ohio. Among Nancy’s hobbies, she enjoyed crafting, baking, was especially known for her famous pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and peanut butter chocolate fudge, was active in the church bazaar, and was a member of Normandy United Methodist Church. One of her special traits was always remembering everyone’s birthday and sending a card. She loved her family and especially spending time with her three grandchildren. Nancy had an accomplished work history including: substitute teacher’s assistant in the Lebanon and Waynesville school districts, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base as an administrative assistant. Nancy was preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Nona Marburger, sister Linda McGuire Hoff, and brother in law Michael McGuire. She is survived by son Scott Brown (Shelley), three grandchildren: Abby Taylor (Justin), Alyssa Schoenjahn (Bryan), Cody Brown, sister Joyce Kirby and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5th, 2021 at Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45249. Visitation 12-1:30pm, service to follow at 1:30pm.
