Mohammad Hassan Parvani

Mohammad Hassan Parvani of Washington Township passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-eight surrounded by his loved ones. A self-made man, gifted with a brain faster than a calculator, and a heart of gold; Mohammad lived a very long and accomplished life. Born in Iran, a true visionary with strong convictions, a perseverant and generous man, he immigrated to the United States in 1979 after having a successful career in the Iranian Air Force. Mohammad started a second career as an entrepreneur in the U.S. which spanned over three decades, investing in and managing various businesses, and touching many lives in the process. His third and final career was the one he enjoyed the most and took the most pride in, being a grandfather. His grandchildren were his whole world and the values he instilled in them helped them all to become educated and successful individuals. None of his grandchildren ever rode a school bus home because he picked them all up from school every day. Mohammad always knew the importance of family and every member of his family knew the immense love he had for them. The love could be heard in his voice, seen in his eyes and smile, and felt in his arms during a hug. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Shahin, his four children, Shayesteh (Steve) Lyons, Fatemeh Smedley, Shahram (Gina) Parvani, and Shahrzad (Andrew) Allen, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was a loving and dedicated husband and father, and the world’s greatest grandfather and “GGpa.” He will be missed immensely by his family as they continue his legacy of love, generosity, and charity. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Kettering Medical Center “5 South” for taking such wonderful care of him in his final days.
