Michael Joe Joseph Kilgallen

KILGALLEN, Michael “Joe”, age 79, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Elizabeth (Healy) Kilgallen and sisters, Mary Evelyn Kuntz and Bridget Herr. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Kilgallen; daughters, Mary (Kilgallen) Bullock of Miami Township, OH, Kathleen (Kilgallen) Sturgill of Dayton, OH, Theresa Kilgallen of Dayton, OH, Noreen (Kilgallen) and David White of Wilmington, OH, Sheila (Kilgallen) and Scott Paxton of Katy, TX; 14 grandchildren, Brendan, Kelli, Michelle, Charles, Jason, Alicia, Nicholas, Shannon, Tyler, Kristen, Allison, Connor, Riley, Sean and 6 great-grandchildren. Joe was an Army Veteran and retired from General Motors Inland Division. He was a past Division President and past State President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a member of the Knights of Columbus – Council 500 and VFW Post 657. Prayer services will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 820 Bowen St., Dayton, Ohio at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Christopher Coleman Celebrant. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be given to The Hospice of Dayton.
