1938 – 2024
Melissa "Ann" Wolfe passed peacefully at home and went to be with her Savior on Fri, January 5th, 2024, surrounded by her family and beloved fur buddy, Oliver. She is survived by her twin brother Arnold (wife Gail), son Kevin (wife Tammy), of Estero, FL, daughter Karin (husband Vance), and two grandchildren, Joshua (wife Rachel) of Charlotte, NC and granddaughter Alea. Ann was born in Dayton, OH in 1938 and was one of three children to Noah and Alice Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, of over 50 years, in 2015, and by her older brother, Howard, in 2022. Ann grew up on a farm in Trotwood, where she learned the value of hard work and perseverance -- and she and Bob instilled those values in their own family. Her children have fond memories of going out to the farm to play and help work in the garden. Ann worked for many years at the old PK Building Supply in Washington Square on Far Hills Ave. She had a variety of interests, including painting pottery and gardening. She loved to be outdoors and thrived on staying busy. Her love language was service to others and she was always willing to lend a helping hand. After Bob’s retirement from Reliance Medical, they enjoyed motorhome camping with their active camping group and working outside in the yard at their home creating beautiful landscaping. Ann and Bob were devoted grandparents to their two grandchildren: spending weeks on end with them, fostering their interests, and teaching them new skills. Ann loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church and singing during worship time. Ann and Bob were longtime members of Centerville Grace Brethren Church and later attended Far Hills Baptist. Since her husband's passing, she resided with her daughter and son-in-law and attended services with them at Fairhaven Church in Centerville. Near the end, she would talk to Jesus as she lay in bed. One of the sweetest utterances was, "I'm ready Jesus; are you ready for me? In Jesus name Amen." Rest in Heaven’s glory our beloved Mother, Momo, sister, and friend. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Paul Clark officiating. Burial Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com
