My thoughts and prayers are with the Wise family.  My deepest sympathy at the loss of your beloved Max.   May our heavenly Father grant you all comfort and strength.  

I’ll never forget how fun loving you were. Your energy was unmatched and you were a truly captivating man. One of my favorite memories of you is going to Yellow springs. I picked you up, we ate at Ha Ha pizza and walked a trail. It was a very quiet and peaceful day. It’s a blessing to know you. Thank you for everything.

Max was my best friend for half of my life. I called him my brother, and he called me his. We did everything together for years and it was never a dull moment. Even just going out to aimlessly walk and talk at night, we'd lose track of time and be out for hours. He went out of his way to make sure the people around him were having a good time, and felt safe and comfortable. He was a very creative person, and loved art and music. We went to countless sites and concerts together. Although he definitely had a distinct music taste, I don't remember him ever complaining about seeing a band you'd think he wouldn't like. He taught me so much, and there will never be another like him. I love you man, and I'll always miss you.

This is my favorite picture i have of Max. he put flowers in my hair and we walked around and talked until 4 in the morning. he always had the power to make me feel so special, and now he will always be in my heart. 

Max was my soulmate and I was his; there’s no doubt in my mind, nor in the mind of those who knew our relationship. Max gave me the best of him at all times, never misbehaving, always protecting me from the dangers of life. He saved me from my demons & made me who I am today. His love was unconditional and pure. And he never failed to tell me how much I meant to him or to tell those around us. I’ll never know what I did to deserve his love - he was truly a blessing from God to me. 

Max and my favorite thing to do was listen to music - as he said: he gave me my music taste. We bonded over music; I swear every song made us both smarter and closer. We’d spend HOURS just listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin in silence, because if you ever talked over the music he would make you shut up or restart the song. He’d sing to the music or quote lyrics out of the blue because every lyric was engrained into his heart; I can still hear him sing it today. He made me a 17hr playlist of classic and progressive rock when we were 16 and I will listen to it forever. He LOVED live music, we’d try to go to Weird Wednesday every week at Scarlet & Grays. We went to 2 festivals together, Rock on the Range & Desert Trip, seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Roger Waters together. 

If we weren’t listening to music, we were hanging out with friends and/or outside. He loved being outside, especially in the forest. We’d hike in Westerville, Danville, and Yellow Springs often. Other than hiking, we spent a lot of time skate boarding (which he taught me), canoeing, and staring up at the stars. We always got into deep conversations, he taught me how to open my mind and my heart. 

I could go on forever about what he meant to me and all the memories we have together…all I know is that I will love and miss him forever. 

My sympathies.  While I haven't seen Max in awhile I was blessed to know and spend time with him as a youngster.  Love and Blessings
