Matt was my “boyfriend” when I was a freshman. It was a joy knowing him. He was always one of the funniest guys I’ve known and such a fun friend to have around. My entire family loved him and I was heartbroken to hear he passed last year. 

When I worked at the Miamisburg pool, in the top of the slide, he told me to watch people walk when “I’m going to soak up the sun” came on the radio. He said people always walk different to it. I think of that every time I hear that song. 🙂


Prayers for his sweet wife and daughter on this difficult day and all the days without him. 

Sad anniversary.  The years we spent together at Leisure Lawn will always hold fond memories. 

My heart is broken that our sweet Matt has left us he was always so kind to me .
Sometimes he would call to see if I needed my trash taken out on his way home from work always asking if I was ok.  He never stayed long I appreciated him so much he knew how hard it was for me to take the trash out using my walker. Now Matt you take care of our sweet little Claire she has missed her Daddy and you have missed her all my Love Matt RIP

Matt and I met while we served in the military. Matt was one of my best friends when I was stationed in Hawaii. He was always about making people laugh and having a good time! From the times we shared on deployment, Living it up in Hawaii, and our talks after I will always remember and love you brother! My prayers go out to his family!

I still can't  believe you transitioned on us.....good people.....it's not the end, this is more of a beginning for your  journey.  One of the most down to earth genuine souls I've ever had a pleasure of knowing  while you were on this physical  plain. Love you man and much love to your family, friends and  loved ones!!!!!

Matt was a friend of mine, we had not spoken in awhile.  I am heartbroken to here that we lost him at such an early age and my condolences to his family.

I'm heartbroken, speechless and confused. Matt was one of my best friends while we served on the USS Chosin. He was extremely loyal to his friends, and loved making people laugh. He was kind hearted and would do anything for anyone who asked. This is such a tough loss. My condolences to his beautiful wife and daughter. Matt, I love and miss you like a brother man. Rest in peace.

I had the honor and privilege of serving with Landis onboard the USS Chosin in Hawaii. Matt was someone you can always count on to make you laugh, even during the tough times. You will be missed brother. Fair winds and following seas. Rest easy brother we have the watch.

I met Landis while serving in the military, it was an honor to have known and to have served with him. 

He was always making people laugh and always willing to do what needed to be done. Landis will be severely missed by everyone he served with. 

I’m sure that he is with his daughter in heaven, will never forget you brother! 

Matt , where to begin… you were such a kind hearted guy! We always had such a fun time out partying , I’m in disbelief your gone so soon, my heart aches for your family and wife and beautiful daughter , I’m so thankful to say I have memories with you I can always cherish ❤️ Rest easy buddy!! 

Matt will be missed by so many. Sending you prayers and hugs through this tough time. 

So sorry for the loss of Matt.  I remember Matt most his 6th grade year of football.  Matt worked hard and was a running back with my son and his friend Tony.  When I would call plays that Matt was going to run the ball, I would remind him every-time , run hard don’t slow down or stop when they try to tackle  you.  He ran hard.
