Lindner, Mary Ann (Corbin), born November 24, 1927, in Evansville, IN, passed away August 3, 2015. She grew up in historic New Harmony, IN and graduated from New Harmony High School in 1945. She attended Wittenberg University, then completing her Bachelor of Science in Home Economics at Purdue University in 1951. Mary followed her graduation with work at Rikes Department Store in Springfield, OH. In 1953, she married her longtime beau, Thomas Lindner, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Springfield, OH, then moved to Grandview Heights, OH. Mary worked as a bank teller at Ohio National Bank in Columbus, OH in the mid-1960’s. She then served as the secretary at St. Christopher Elementary School in Grandview Heights from then until 1980. Mary then began her work as a secretary at the Office of Communications at Ohio State University until her retirement in 2001. Mary was a founding member of the Columbus Rock and Mineral Society in 1958 and continued as an active member until 2004. She was a member of St. Christopher’s choir and part of a long-lasting bridge club. Mary was a loving woman of serendipitous spirit and huge heart who gave to all who knew her. Mary is survived by her daughter Margaret (Mike) Herring and her grandchildren, Mack(Morgan) Herring and Cammie Herring. In addition she is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews; Julie Fasick Valley, Christine Fasick, Terri (Jeff) Heaphy, Mary Pat (Maria Viteri) Fasick, Don (Marisue) Fasick and Tom (Cindy) Fasick and their wonderful children Adam Valley, Brooke Valley, Gabe Valley, Caity Valley, Danny Valley, Maura Valley, Matthew Fasick and Danielle Owens. Mary is also survived by her brother-in-law, Thomas Wathen and her longtime friend, Linda Sue Alsop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lindner, her sister, Margaret “Gabby” Wathen, her husband’s sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don Fasick, her great nephew Scott Fasick and her mother and Ffather, Camilla and Courtland Corbin. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd at Grange Hall Rd. form 5-8 PM Thursday. Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Friday at St. Bernard Cemetery in Springfield, OH.
