GURAL, Mary age 63 of Kettering, Ohio, loving wife and mother, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. A graduate of Julienne High School, Mary received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Dayton. She was a lifetime educator with Franklin City Schools and the director of the federal Chapter 1 Reading Program. Mary was a volunteer reading tutor at St. Albert School for many years after she retired. A lover of wildlife, Mary was an avid birdwatcher and a member of the National Audubon Society. Mary loved traveling and spending time with her family and pet dogs. She was a kind, humble, and selfless person. Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Dean. She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Joseph Gural; son, Roger Gural of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Christy (Chris) Zois of Centerville, Ohio; sister, Christine (Steve Casella) Bernard of Dayton, Ohio; brothers, Dr. Earl (Charlene) Staddon of Union, Ohio and Michael (Candace) Staddon of Troy, Ohio; and a brother-in-law, Tom Dean of Cincinnati, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Friday, February 3, 2012, from 5 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church 3033 Far Hills Ave. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
